“Called Monday morning and talked with Michelle, she was great! I was in need of a garage door opener repair or possibly and new garage door opener. Michelle gave me a quote for the repair and a new opener. She told me she would send Rob with a new opener just in case the repair could not be made. Rob came the next afternoon and made the repair. Great service! Friendly, timely, and a great price. I will definitely use Environmental Door again if the situation arises. Thanks Michelle and Rob!”

A malfunctioning garage door opener is more than an inconvenience, it’s a security risk. Get a licensed technician out to diagnose it and quote the repair, often the same day.
Tell us what’s going on with your opener and we’ll get back to you promptly.
This is almost always caused by misaligned safety sensors — the two small units near the bottom of the tracks. Realigning them fixes most cases, but if the flashing light on your wall control won’t stop, it’s worth having a technician check for a deeper sensor or wiring issue.
An electric opener outperforms an old-style pull-chain system in nearly every case. Openers come in two main types, trolley (ceiling-mounted) and jackshaft (wall-mounted) and the right one depends on your door and available space. We can recommend the best fit when repairing or replacing your current unit.
Not every opener supports it, but most models made since 2017 include built-in Wi-Fi for smartphone, Apple HomeKit, or Google Home control. If your current opener doesn’t support smart features, we can upgrade it to one that does.
We recommend a checkup at the start of each season — confirming the door opens and closes fully, testing that it reverses properly when something blocks the sensors, and making sure it still moves easily by hand when disengaged.
A belt-drive opener runs quieter than a chain-drive, and nylon rollers cut down on vibration compared to steel ones. If your opener has gotten noticeably louder over time, that’s often a sign of wear in the chain, belt, or drive system worth having checked.
